See live birds of prey in flight, and learn about their characteristics and the important role they play in the environment in this captivating show at the Virginia Hand Callaway Discovery Center, Discovery Amphitheater. Trainers The Birds of Prey shows are presented by expert trainers who spend countless hours training and nurturing these birds. The trust and mutual respect between the birds and trainers is evident in each of their performances. Pet Policy For your pet's safety and the safety of our raptors, no pets are allowed in or near the Discovery Amphitheater or the bike path behind the amphitheater when a Birds of Prey show is in progress or during training sessions. The birds in the program are not domesticated and retain all of their hunting instincts and abilities. Show Times Birds of Prey shows are in the Discovery Amphitheater near the Virginia Hand Callaway Discovery Center.
Shows may be canceled in the case of inclement weather or extreme heat. Show times are: January 1–February 29
Monday through Friday - 12:30 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday - 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. March 1–May 31*
10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. * Weekends during Spring Celebration: 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
