This spectacular event is an excellent way to jump start your gardening endeavors for the spring.  Join us for a fantastic gardening happening with two amazing gardeners - Walter Reeves and Page Dickey.  You’ll get down-to-earth, tried and true garden advice as well as inspiration and new ideas.  Design concepts, as well as how to handle the challenges of gardening in these arduous times, will be covered.  After lunch the experts will answer your gardening questions.  Come prepared and get those perplexing gardening “challenges” solved!  You will also be able to purchase books and get them autographed.

 

Walter Reeves currently hosts a four-hour weekly gardening show on NewsTalk 750 WSB-AM, which captures the most listeners in Atlanta among all 23 competing radio stations each Saturday morning. Walter writes a weekly column of gardening tips and questions and answers for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Home & Garden section. He is known statewide through his numerous books, newspaper columns and magazine articles. His practical approach to the basics of Gardening makes him a popular and much sought-after lecturer. Walter can also be seen on the nationally syndicated "Ask DIY Gardening" on the DIY Network and on Turner South’s "Southern Home by Design."  Visit Walter’s website at www.walterreeves.com to learn more!

 

Page Dickey

Noted garden writer Page Dickey is author of numerous books including Gardens in the Spirit of Place, Breaking Ground, Inside Out: Relating Garden to House, Duck Hill Journal, Dogs in the Gardens, and Cats in the Garden.  She has a keen eye and considerable experience with plants, weather, pets and pests, including deer.  She lectures widely and teaches classes at the New York Botanical Garden and the Horticultural Society of New York.  Dickey writes on garden design for House and Garden, House Beautiful, and Elle Décor, “advocating gardens that are in harmony with the landscape rather than imposed upon it.”  Her latest book Gardens in the Spirit of Place features fourteen gardens across the United States, each representing an original response to its’ surroundings.
